Monday Moments, the last of 2012
by J.
- As I type my kids are outside playing in large piles of snow and have been for most of the day.
- As annoyed as I get by winter I must admit that is provides hours of free entertainment for my kids and I like that.
- Christmas version 1.0 has come and gone and we all survived.
- Version 2.0 will be on Sunday, as is our tradition, it will end our 30 days of Christmas.
- We have spent much of this holiday visiting with people we love right here in our own end of the world.
- We have also been to Buffalo and Hamilton and are safely back at home.
- Although we are about to head to a friends house to ring in the new year in a nice calm fashion.
- I like calm.
- My kids have had both stellar and less than stellar moments as we have celebrated the holidays.
- One of them in particular is making poor choices at every turn and we are at a bit of a loss as to how to deal with it.
- They are all enjoying themselves though and have managed all the visiting, late night and company fairly well.
- I still can’t quiet believe that 2012 is over.
- I turned 35 this year which felt pretty significant at the time, less so 6 months later.
- I became a Mom again.
- She is a delight except when she is not, but lets focus on the delightful part shall we.
- I gained a pretty spectacular extended family as well gaining a daughter because she has a lot of wonderful people who love her.
- I have all these fabulous boys in my life who I would not trade for the moon and the stars although if the moon was made of cherry cider I might be tempted on occasion.
- I have developed friendships with some spectacular woman who I would be lost without.
- I swam in both the Pacific and Atlantic ocean this year.
- I began a year of homeschooling my kids.
- What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger is a line that runs through my head on a daily basis now that I am homeschooling all of my kids.
- It has been a good year, it has had it’s highs and it’s lows but it has been good.
- I have not blogged as much this year as I have in the past but I do want to say thank you to each and everyone of you, for your love, your support and your friendship.
- Hoping 2013 is all you wish it to be and so much more as well.

Happy New Year! 2012 was the year I met so many new people and I’m so glad you were one of them. Best wishes to you and your family.
It may not be as much blogging, but I have loved what you do write. The letters to Ramona are lovely. All the best for 2013.
Hi J, thanks for stopping by our piece of the internet. It’s good to see you still blogging. Congratulations on your newest family member. I’ve been doing a bit of catchup this morning and I applaud your life and your writing about it so openly. Thanks for that. Hope you have a wonderful 2013 and that we’re both still here to tell our tales in 2014. Cheers.
Happy New Year! Hopefully you are now relaxing on a beach in the warm sun – enjoy!
